The Associate Director of First Generation+ manages the Legacy Scholars, First-Gen Scholars, and Crimson Scholars academic support programs and the professional staff who serve those areas. Oversees the continued development of a comprehensive First Gen Program for all qualifying students at the University that provides peer mentoring, faculty/staff mentoring, industry immersion experiences, and other tailored programming for First Gen populations. Collects, manages, and analyzes data to evaluate students in the program and develop KPIs for the programs/initiatives. Administers corporate/foundation/philanthropic endowed scholarship funds in support of First Gen Student Success.Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of student retention or engagement experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of student retention or engagement experience.Skills and Knowledge:
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Public relations expertise and comfortability interfacing with donors and external partners. Strong partnership building skills to maximize wrap-around student support on campus.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree. Experience working with first-generation college students and/or academically at-risk student populations. Experience in program development, management, and assessment. Experience with external relations and developing external support for programs/initiatives. Experience with Slate, SARS, Degreeworks, PowerBI, Banner, and/or other software used in higher education.Background Investigation Statement:
