The team is responsible for the management of a complex infrastructure construction project that involves a range of technical disciplines and will be employing alternative delivery on several large construction contracts involving rail transit facilities ( both heavy-civil and vertical ).
The ideal Construction Commercial Lead will have a senior role in the formation of procurement documents, provide leadership through the procurement and on into implementation through early works, and the pre-construction and construction phases. Desirable attributes for this role are:15 to 20 years of vertical and civil construction contract experience with experience in the delivery of Progressive Design Build (PDB) contractsExperience on the Contractor-side of PDB project(s) would be particularly valuedExperience in the development of PDB contract documentation, and the management and administration of the preconstruction and construction phases is requiredSuccessful track record of delivery on large, complex construction projects including involvement in contract document preparation, administration or managementRelevant experience from the vertical, civil, commercial or infrastructure industries will be valued

The ideal Construction Commercial Lead will have the ability to take a holistic view of the client’s delivery challenges especially in an environment where PDB is a fresh approach for the Client. We’re looking for:An experienced delivery mentality that perceives the challenges and risks a program may face in the ambitious deployment of PDB on a very large, complicated infrastructure project for the first timeComprehensive knowledge of the development and operation of PDB forms of Contract, including the application and adaptation of standard processes to a particular program challengeExperienced, collaborative approach to develop lasting and productive relationships with senior client leadership, internal and external legal support, potential contracting partners
Responsibilities for this position will include any combination of:Using past experience, provide the Client with advice on Contract development and delivery methodology for optimal delivery of complex programs of workProvide managerial and organizational oversight of a contract delivery team both in the procurement, preconstruction and construction phasesCommunicate directly with the Client’s c-suite executives, Executive Project Director and management team, internal and external counsel, and the Contractor’s Project leadership team on all aspects of project deliveryProvide direction, detailed analysis and/or solutions to emerging managerial and technical problems.
