www.shift4.com .As a Procurement Category Manager, you will oversee and optimize the performance of specific vendor/supplier categories within Shift4. This includes strategic sourcing analysis to select "best fit" prospective suppliers, negotiation with suppliers, leveraging your expertise to secure advantageous terms, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and analyzing vendor effectiveness. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to establish optimal pricing structures and ensure competitiveness.

Objectives of this role

Optimize vendor spend to receive best value relative to quality from its Vendors.Manage risk exposure to vendors by conducting thorough evaluations, building commercially sound deals, and ongoing analysis of Vendor performance.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to limit the number of suppliers and get the best performance from existing contracted vendors.Ensure all existing vendors are evaluated and contracts are negotiated to protect Shift4 resources and risk exposure.Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions to drive cost savings and strengthen supplier relationships.Work with stakeholders to secure favorable commercial terms (including Legal) to complete contracts.Establish and evolve best practice standards and parameters for Shift4.Identify and pursue savings opportunities by engaging existing vendors for discounts or other saving opportunities.Lead RFP processes to successful vendor selection.Stay up-to-date with strategic sourcing trends and technological advancements to provide recommendations to senior management.Evolve strategic sourcing tools and processes to improve the global function.Re-engage existing vendors in partnership with other internal stakeholders to drive resolution to issues.

Required skills and qualifications

3+ years of procurement/strategic sourcing work involving vendor negotiations.Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead small group discussions, meetings, and presentations.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, category management tools, and software for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred skills and qualifications

Experience in strategic sourcing category management.Familiarity with managing an RFP process.Experience with supplier contract negotiations.Understanding of supplier tactics and pricing strategies to effectively negotiate.Experience in vendor management and/or supplier risk management.Procurement/Sourcing certifications are a plus.
