$17.25SummaryStore Managers are responsible for the overall success of the facility through customer satisfaction, facility appeal, and sales. Managers provide on-site guidance to other staff as appropriate in the form of tasking, training, and setting the example for excellence at sites.Duties and ResponsibilitiesUsing effective sales skills, lease units and sell products to customers. This includes up-selling and promoting best options and value for customers.Follow-up on leads, generated through online inquiries, phone calls, and walk-ins.Prepare leases and other documents in accordance with company policy and procedures.Provide superior customer service through courtesy, professionalism, knowledge of StorageMart products, and familiarity with options available to customers and prospective customers.Collect all monies due to the company; follow-up on delinquencies. This includes collection calls.Apply discounts and fees in accordance with company policy and procedures.Ensure overall appearance of the site/store by conducting regular walk-throughs, identifying items in need of maintenance and repair.Provide basic maintenance such as sweeping, snow removal, light bulb replacement, trash pick-up, etc. using tools such as brooms, shovels, leaf blowers, etc.Prepare all documents required on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis as required by the company and/or supervisory staff.Stay current on training, processes, procedures, and policies.Maintain an awareness of competitor presence within a 5 mile/10-kilometer radius of the assigned site/store.Keep Regional Manager informed of any issues at assigned site/store including but not limited to maintenance, safety, pricing, customers, staff, etc.QualificationsHigh school diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience (including but not limited to hospitality, retail, sales, casual dining, customer service). An associate’s degree or 2 years of college may be substituted for part of the experience requirement.Language AbilityMust be able to read and write in English (or French for Quebec province). Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Computer SkillsMust be able to navigate a computer with ease. Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel) and word processing software (e.g. Word) in addition to databases is a requirement. Knowledge of basic computer terminology is required (e.g. mouse, tab, worksheet, field, etc.)Work/Travel AvailabilityMust be able to get to and from work reliably.May be required to have access to a fully licensed vehicle during work hours. If required to drive during the day, must have a current, valid driver’s license, current applicable insurance, and an acceptable driving record.Must be willing to work any day of the week (Mondays to Sundays) as well as holidays.Travel between locations/work various locations as the business requires.Physical RequirementsMust be able to work inside and outside, in temperature extremes. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb stairs as well as a 10-foot ladder and be walking/standing for up to 3 hours/day (approximately 1/3 of normal working shift). Must be willing and able to perform light cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, wiping windows, mowing grass, shoveling snow, pulling weeds, etc. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull or move up to 50 lbs. and have the strength to routinely handle a bolt cutter, grinder, and power washer.
