About The Role
The Import Production Manager will manage import styles from development through production.This role involves negotiating minimum order quantities (MOQs), delivery schedules, and costs.The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Sales, and PR, to share samples and resolve production issues.Regular communication regarding production status and factory ship dates is a key responsibility.The role requires collecting and negotiating development and production costs for trims, fabrics, and garments.The manager will also be responsible for calculating duty rates for import garments and creating seasonal margin reports.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in import production or development.A strong understanding of garment construction across various categories such as Cut & Sew, Wovens, Sweaters, and Technical Outerwear is essential.The candidate must possess excellent negotiation skills and experience with cost breakdowns.High proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft and Google Suite, is required.The successful individual will demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.A positive, solution-driven attitude is crucial, along with the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced startup environment.
