Title: ETL Developer (Python / Linux) Location: Albany, NY Duration: 28 Months Client: HBITS NYS DOH(New York State - Dept. Of Health) Req#: HBITS-06-13509 Onsite from day 1Job Description Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for an ETL Developer in Albany, NY. Description: Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to: •Work with program staff and business analyst to analyze data, reporting requirements, business / workflow processes, data flows, and system interfaces. •Coordinate with vendors, data analysts, and contractors on gap analysis and logical design. •Work with business analyst and developer to perform data extraction and transformation tasks. •Work with technical manager to ensure the team implements the correct software solution and the solution will meet the needs of the program. •Compile reports and activity status as requested by the project manager. •Work well in a matrixed team structure, often facilitating multi-disciplinary teams, translating business/program subject matter information into project artifacts. •Prepare and execute a knowledge transfer. •Follow department level, and division level directives, best practices, standards, and methodologies, as appropriate or requested. Mandatory Qualification: •Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software. •Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.•84 months experience in extract, transformation, and load (ETL) process to perform data transformations. •84 months experience with analysis of complex business rules, workflow processes, and re-engineering business processes. •84 months experience with data processing and analysis using technologies such as shell scripting or Python on Linux platform. •72 months experience writing transformations with healthcare data. •72 months experience with relational and NoSQL databases (like Oracle, Postgres, etc.) containing large amounts of data (greater than 10 million rows). •72 months experience authoring a complete set of technical documentation •Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
