BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated IT Business Analyst for Derivatives for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJ
Position Title: IT Business Analyst for Derivatives
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.
Expected Duration: 12 Months.
Job Type: CONTRACT, (Hybrid)
Monday- Friday (5x8)
Candidate who is authorized to work independently
Pay Range: $50 - $55/hr.
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Job Description:* Closely work with business partners to analyze & refine the regulatory requirements given by Federal authorities & DTCC (Business Requirements Document) and then prepare detailed Functional Requirement Document.* Translate and simplify the Business /Functional requirements into technical requirements and create user stories for the Development team to understand and implement the code.* Performs gap and feasibility analysis, recommend alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.* Prepare the detailed use cases, functional scenarios, and Spec by examples.* Work closely with Developers and Operations to answer all questions & queries about the regulatory requirements.* Identify the gaps in software system from regulatory perspective and raise requirements to product owners.* Provide support to Product owner team to help guide the tech impact, story points, prioritizing, planning for all requirements.* Provide support to UAT team for end-to-end testing by providing sample test cases, use cases, actual vs expected behavior etc. Work with them to develop user acceptance tests, and log and track status of defects.
Required Skills:
* At least 6 - 8 years of experience of working as a BA for large, complex systems.* OTC Derivatives domain knowledge is required.* Ability to read back-end Python code and perform basic debugging is required.* Working experience / knowledge on CFTC/Dodd Frank, ESMA/EMIR, MIFID rules is preferred.* Great analytical skills and ability to deep dive into complex details and resolve issues.* Excellent written & oral communication skills.* Experience of working with AGILE methodology of software development.* Ability to prioritize, adjust, and push for completion of multiple tasks in a fast-paced organization.* Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks
