Consultant Application Engineer . The Application Engineer (AE) is a consultative pre-sale professional responsible for supporting electrical consultants that serve the commercial marketplace. The AE possesses both technical and commercial acumen skills and has expert application and product knowledge. The AE should be familiar with competitive landscapes and be able to position Schneider applications against competitive offers.
The AE will sustain meaningful relationships with key decision makers, as well as staff engineers and designers at consulting firms, along with sales teams and field Consultant Application Engineers. The AE's goal should be to become the customer's preferred technical/application advisor and will focus efforts on driving specification preference for targeted customers and opportunities.
The AE will work to best position Schneider Electric to win orders in the pre-sales and sales cycle and ensure continued growth of the pipeline to be realized by area sales teams.
What will you do?
Work as an integral part of a high-functioning team of remote AE's who provide support to our valued customers via phone, email and chat.Support our field Consultant Application Engineers with target customers.Achieve acceptability of Schneider Electric's electrical products, software, and services.Provide pre-sales application support by recommending solutions to meet customer's project needs.Provide technical product/solution updates and training for electrical consultants.Work to achieve Schneider product/offering preference in project designs.Be the voice of customer for product development and target market segments.Gain the trust of our consultants and sales teams through expert sales, solution and technical support.What qualifications will make you successful?
Bachelor's degree in Energy, Sustainability, Engineering, or applicable field preferred.Experience in the design, application, or sales of electrical systems.Technical knowledge of industry products and applications.Ongoing awareness of industry and market trends.High degree of curiosity and ability to absorb concepts quickly.Ability to be adaptable and agile in your day-to-day work.Future-forward mindset with an eye on digital transformation and solutions for the electrical industry.Ability to maintain meaningful, quality relationships with both internal and external teams, as well as customers while working remotely.
