MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Subject Matter Expert I team member to support the Department of Energy (DOE) State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP).The Subject Matter Expert I position is located at the Department of Energy Forrestal Building, Washington, DC.

This full-time position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Functions:

Provides expert consulting, analysis, and support to the Government client(s) on critical complex issues. Provide facilitation Works independently and effectively under pressure and in the conduct of demanding assignments. Express ideas well both orally and in writing. Possess extensive expertise, essential for effective implementation, in one or more of the following areas: Affordable housing expertise; Building Energy Engineering; Data collection, mining, analysis and management; Energy Efficiency Tools and Testing; Energy Efficiency Training; Facilitation; Financing expertise; Outreach, Education and Communications; Partner Recruitment and Account Management; Partnership Development and Management; Policy and Market Research and Analysis; Program Planning, Design and Implementation; Program/Project Management; Quality Assurance; Research; Stakeholder Engagement; Strategic Planning; Technical Assistance; and Utility Efficiency Programs and Integration. Have demonstrated ability to independently plan, conduct, and lead extensive research and analysis resulting in products of significant impact. Perform extremely difficult, high-visibility tasks requiring application of new or original concepts. Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in appropriate discipline is required. A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and four (4) years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate discipline and two (2) years of additional relevant experience may substitute a PhD in the appropriate discipline to fulfill the minimum education requirement. Ten (10) years of relevant experience performing work applicable to the functions and responsibilities described in the position description are required. The ability to obtain/maintain a DOE L or Q clearance. Preferred Qualifications:

Current and active DOE Q Clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award.

This is a full-time position in Washington, DC20585, USA

Telework options are available with a requirement to be in the office at least three days a week, based on the level of in-person meetings and office needs.

SALARY:

Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
