Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Lead Engineer opportunity available based in Charleston, SC, with an opportunity to travel to locations Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES Cambridge requires an Electronic Security System (ESS) Engineer to join our Team in support of a Critical Infrastructure Program. The Lead Engineer candidate will be assigned to multiple Mission-Critical Facility Design and Construction projects for a Navy Customer as the Lead Project Engineer across the Program. Responsibilities include: Conducts surveys and investigations at project sites to secure necessary data prior to initiating design work. Capture customer requirements and transfer those into ESS design. Provide technical responses to client request for information. Design and lead ESS solutions from initial concept through site survey, design phase, and implementation. Design and configure technically functional security systems, including enterprise security head-end systems. Creates drawing packages (technical data packages), sequence of operations, list of material, network layouts, and electrical requirements. Determine power and heat specifications for all integrated systems. Work with Network Engineering team to develop network topologies. Work with CADD Developers to modify, update, and prepare redline and As-Built drawing sets. Ensure technicians, subcontractors, and other site personnel complete assigned work per established standards. Provide QA/QC oversight to project documents and deliverables. Lead installations, integrations, testing, and sustainment/upgrade support at various locations globally. Researches, designs, develops, and tests ESS equipment and solutions. Serves as an engineering consultant and technical expert on mission-critical infrastructure, systems, and equipment. Applies professional knowledge of scientific and engineering concepts to: assess specific requirements, delineate appropriately engineered designs, and develop preliminary and final design plans, engineering specifications, cost estimates and procurement packages. Specifies functional requirements, designs and tests components, analyzes designs, and integrates components. Evaluates overall design effectiveness, cost, reliability. Designs, analyzes, configures, tests and troubleshoots systems, as well as providing project engineering/program management support, development and evaluation support and engineering/life cycle support of a complex nature in a narrow area of specification. Conducts surveys and investigations at project sites to secure necessary data prior to initiating design work. Required QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI. Minimum 8-10 years of experience, including experience with designing solutions for IDS, ACS, CCTV, VMS. Bachelor's in Engineering / relevant technical discipline preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar lead role. Working knowledge and / or formal training with UL 2050 and ICD 705 compliance preferred. (Example: UL 2050 Designing for Compliance certification course) Working knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture. Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
DMP Programmer preferred. AMAG Symmetry certification preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Active Passport. Ability to travel up to 1o%, both CONUS and OCONUS. In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
