Responsibilities University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required. POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an individual with previous Psychiatric intake experience, ability to work in an effectively rapid paced environment, answer phone calls, obtaining insurance authorizations, completing physician orders for admissions, review potential admissions from medical referral sources, and process admissions. Candidate must have thorough knowledge of Florida Baker Act protocols. This is a Per-Diem position in our Admissions Department/Night-Shift 7pm-7:30am Qualifications Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited RN program, Current RN State License, Previous experience in behavioral health preferred. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Experience in patient assessment, family motivation, and communication with external review organization or comparable entities.
