The Quality Assurance Engineer's primary role is to identify, track, and communicate product quality issues. The Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with the suppliers and Yanmar factories to develop and implement corrective actions. The Quality Assurance Engineer is tasked with continuously evaluating the quality of Yanmar's products in support of new product and feature development. This position serves as a technical subject matter expert on assigned products to support the Customer Support Division in detailed root cause analysis.

Job Functions:

Develop data models and tools, as needed, to identify, track, and report trending quality issues.Monitor warranty, quality, and technical support data to identify and produce detailed reports on failure trends.Management of countermeasure development and implementationPerform root cause analysis on failures in support of quality investigations and warranty judgments.Detailed documentation and record keeping of all quality issues and activates.Lead QA meetings with suppliers and Yanmar factories, including outside normal business hours.Provide quality oversight and report on potential quality risks.Responsible for yearly quality ISO audit for the Quality Assurance Engineering Team.Maintain Quality Assurance Engineering QMS policy and procedures.Work closely with the Quality Control team and other quality adjacent teamsServe as the subject matter expert on assigned Yanmar products to support the Customer Support Division on complex and high priority machine down cases.Support new product launches through FQA Testing and product life management processes.Continuous development and improvement of quality management processes and procedureCompetencies:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related quality or technical field.One (1) year of Quality Engineering or Warranty experience is a plus.Experience in the Industrial Engine, Construction Equipment, or Agricultural Equipment industry preferred.Data management and analysis experience. Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Minitab, or other comparable data tools preferredPrior experience working with a multi-disciplined team preferred.Ability to routinely participate in conference calls outside of regular business hours.The ability to travel an average of 20% domestically and internationally and manage travel expenses in a cost-efficient manner.Bilingual (English / Japanese) is a plus.This position is full time and based in Adairsville, GA.
