You will be working within the development team as an Embedded Software Engineer developing software for proximity detection, communication and embedded products.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks on an embedded hardware and software development team responsible for the following functions:•Embedded software design, analysis, and development of real time applications•Validation, testing, and troubleshooting software solutions•Technical analysis and comparison of existing products.•Collaboration with global engineering staff in the development of products•Answer customer questions and technical issues regarding embedded products•Performs other functions and duties as needed and/or as assigned.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position. A. Education and/or Experience•BS Degree educated in relevant subject.•A background in embedded software development using C/C++.•Previous work experience with PIC, Atmel or other embedded processor is required.•Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities•C/C++ programming•Understanding of microcontroller architectures•Commitment to testing and troubleshooting solutions•Basic electronics knowledge•Operate an oscilloscope, multimeter, and signal generator•Familiar with I2C, SPI, and UART communication•Experience working in small product development teams.•Experience with JIRA, Git, or other software configuration tool is desirable.•Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
IV. WORKING CONDITIONS

B. Travel RequirementsTravel is infrequent but may be required to support development projects inside or outside the United States
C. Physical DemandsThis position requires the ability to perform general physical exertions, including walking, standing, climbing, lifting materials or equipment up to twenty pounds.
D. Work EnvironmentThe facility is a common office environment adjacent to warehouse space also used for product testing. Office hours are Monday through Friday with core business hours from 10 AM to 4 PM (flexible start and end times) although the candidate will be working with a globally diverse team and will be required to accommodate business hours in other time zones on an as-needed basis.
