The Inventory Control Analyst performs analysis of material and production consumption as well as internal and external inventory levels and storage locations. Manages the inventory plans of raw materials, WIP and finished goods. Performs scheduling support and assistance.What You'll DoPerform detailed analysis of inventory plans of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to meet production and customer demands. Evaluates and makes recommendations to Management.Provide logistical and inventory support and assists in resolving issues pertaining to containment, count discrepancies, priorities, expedites, and other necessary support activities.Develop, implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to ensure that they are accurate and timely from and to all external and/or internal operationsMonitor internal and external material movement for accuracy and cost effectiveness as directed by the Manufacturing & Production ManagerDevelop and supply strategic reporting to the Operations management team including quarterly summaries, monthly trends, week over week analysis and daily reportingDevelop trend reporting on top offenders in all functions of the warehouse for inventory inaccuracies to help operations leadership in seek to understand conversationsInnovate and maintain cycle count programs in a perpetual inventory environment for all building locations.Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and supply possible solutions to increase accuracy and efficiencyDevelop and drive departmental and organizational goals through data analysis with the ability to speak to multiple levels of the businessTake a high level of ownership in regards to site training and team development based around inventory, to help mitigate inventory issues on campusHelp develop all leadership on site to ensure they understand inventory movements external into the building and internal to the Horizon Scientific campus operations.Additional responsibilities include trend analysis, RCA, Cycle Count Management/Reporting, and corrective actionsDaily reporting on variance trends on site including top offenders by username per function, top warehouses/bins with discrepancies, top zones with errors, and any additional root cause investigationsQuarterly, Monthly, and weekly summaries of inventory adjustments including true write offs, variance bucket trending and monetary value trendsLead all inventory audits on site with external and internal auditorsManage Aged InventoryEvaluate future production forecast versus shipments, safety stock, supplier/customer stock programs, slow move/aged inventory, vendor managed inventory, and consignment inventory.Assist Purchasing and Scheduling in the planning and coordinating of material availability.Coordinate and manage inventory control activities, including periodic cycle counts, month/year end processes including physical inventory as required.Communicate and participate with supporting departments to execute plans and deliverables.Monitor and maintain Department metrics for inventory accuracy.Participate in assignments for job reviews, production standards, and bill of material consumption parameters.What You'll Bring1-2 years production scheduling experience, minimum of 3 years inventory/analytic experience and 5 years working in a manufacturing environment, strong math skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work under pressure, strong analytical skills, MS Office with advanced Excel skills, manufacturing ERP system familiarity.
