TIME COMMITMENT : 10-15 hours per week, regular schedule duringbusiness hours M-F 9 am - 5 pm; August 23 - Dec 13, 2024COMPENSATION : This is an unpaid internship

BACKGROUND : The International RescueCommittee (IRC) helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered byconflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future.Founded in 1933, the IRC is at work today in more than 40 countries and in 28U.S. cities. The IRC's U.S. Programs (USP)department createsopportunities for refugees and other vulnerable migrants to survive and thriveinAmerica. USP serves more than 40,000 individuals each year, includingthousands of newly arrived refugees, through a diverse portfolio of programsaimed at achieving outcomes in five impact areas: Health, Safety, EconomicWellbeing, Education, and Power.The IRC works with government bodies, civil society actorsand local volunteers to help refugees, asyleesand those with SpecialImmigrant Visas translate their past experiences into assets that are valuabletotheir new communities. In Denver and other offices across the country,the IRC helps refugees and asyleesto rebuild their lives through servicesand programs that assist with initial resettlement through longerterm integration.Presently, these services are case management, employment services, psychosocialsupport,family stabilization, health coordination, health insurance literacy, familyreunification andprograms for children and youth. The Denver office alsohas a legal services program to provide pro bono legal representation to survivorsof torture, as well as direct legal services for family-basedimmigration.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW : The Supply chain Intern will beresponsible for supporting our agency's Supply Chain & Operations Team withthe daily administrative, logistical, and inventory management tasks related torunning a professional warehouse dedicated to refugee resettlement.

RESPONSIBILITIES :Assist Supply Chain team with receiving, inspecting, recording, shelving, organizing, and distributing warehouse inventoryMaintain warehouse inventory trackerAssist Supply Chain staff with cycle countsTroubleshoot & analyze process flow & efficiencyAssist with purchasing - creating online ordersOrganize, scan and process documentsMonitor team email inbox, respond to staff needs, and maintain communication with staff, vendors, and donorsCollaborate and partner with staff and Operations team to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS:Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Teams, Excel - or willingness to learnPosition requires extended periods of sitting, walking/standing with some bending, pushing, pulling and stoopingMust possess the ability to lift objects up to 50 poundsSome light cleaning will be requiredAttention to detailGood communications skillsModerate command of EnglishMust be willing to work in a diverse, fast-paced professional environment and be willing to adapt to shifting requirements and priorities

SUPERVISION : This position reports to the Supply Chain Coordinator, with daily task supervision by the Supply Chain Coordinator
