The Department of Finance at the Kogod School of Business in American University invites applications for an open-rank, non-tenure track faculty position starting in 2025.

Qualifications:(1) Hold a doctorate in Finance or Economics from a nationally accredited institution;(2) Have demonstrated teaching excellence in Finance, Managerial Economics, and related courses at all levels;(3) Show a strong track record in service and administrative assignments;(4) Be committed to collegiality, good citizenship, and a desire to serve the school.

We seek experienced, versatile candidates who, through their work, teaching, research, and/or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of Kogod’s academic reputation. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level is essential.

Responsibilities:Candidates are expected to teach relevant courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in both in-person and online formats, and participate in department, school, and university activities. They are expected to play an important role in expanding the department’s and the school's pedagogical portfolio through the development of new courses and programs as well as their administration.

Initial appointments are at the rank of Professorial Lecturer for one year and renewable subject to satisfactory review/performance and budgetary approval.
