Come build with us!Role and ResponsibilitiesPerform semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with hardware product development for the electronic communications industry. Research, design, develop, and/or test computer hardware and support peripherals, including central processing units (CPUs), graphics processing units (GPUs), support logic, microprocessors, and/or custom integrated circuits. Analyze, design, develop, and/or test functionality of computer hardware and support peripherals and/or make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and/or operational and/or performance requirements of overall system. Exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Skills and QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field plus two (2) years of experience in a related engineering role performing each of the following: Monitoring and debugging test failures; Test/verification plan creation; Defect monitoring, characterization, and root cause analysis; Programming Languages: C, C++, and Python; Writing scripts to automate feature testing and debugging using Python, or Perl; Linux Operating System; and Code coverage analysis/closure.ALTERNATE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field plus five (5) years of progressive experience in a related engineering role. Experience must include at least two (2) years in each of the following: Monitoring and debugging test failures; Test/verification plan creation; Defect monitoring, characterization, and root cause analysis; Programming Languages: C, C++, and Python; Writing scripts to automate feature testing and debugging using Python, Bash, or Perl; Linux Operating System; and Code coverage analysis/closure.Total RewardsAt Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $211,050.00 and $257,336.00. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more. In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
