Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Development (SDOD) for the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, the Associate Director of Development designs, develops, implements, and administers fundraising programs. Identifies new donor prospects through research of background information on potential donors and directs the development of materials and marketing plan. Directs the organizing of related fundraising programs / events; cultivates, solicits, and stewards major gift donor prospects.The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing is a key element in a robust ecosystem for health care education, research, delivery, and innovation. The ADOD is a critical player in achieving the School's $65 million campaign goal.Position Information

$6,608.33 - $14,808.33/mo. Departmental Salary Budget is $7,500.00 - $8,333.33/Mo., commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
Minimum:Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.Minimum of 2 years of professional or volunteer fundraising experience; or equivalent transferrable professional experience including strategic relationship development and portfolio management, preferably in higher education.Demonstrated knowledge of proven identification, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation strategies.Skills to meet and drive to exceed fundraising goals and objectives.Demonstrated experience in developing strategic relationships with individual donors and prospective donors, foundations, and other philanthropic organizations.Excellent communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and possess a positive and collaborative work style.Demonstrated critical thinking and strategic planning abilities.Strong organizational and time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.Preferred:Careful attention to details and a commitment to quality and timeliness in all aspects of work.Thorough knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc.Thorough analytical and critical thinking skills, including skill in creative and effective decision-making.Knowledge of office software.Thorough working knowledge of the campus, including its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements, and infrastructure.Awareness, knowledge, and skill in applying diversity, equity, and inclusion to one's work.Physical Demands
Occasional evening and weekend work. Travel will be required. Must provide own means of transportation to meetings and offsite events.Special Requirements
