Goal achievementManage new program development and launch for 2K products in Connectors BU and across other BUs within Industrial solutions for Connector BU customers.Leadership within the organizationLead product realization projects for new LSR 2K programs from quote to production launch. Expert resource for sales, tooling, and operations.Business DevelopmentResponsible for the development of production and tooling concepts at quote, technical sales support, and customer updates during project launch up to series validation.CoordinationCompetent, professional, and efficient project management and organization.Reporting LineDirect report to Global LSR Program manager.Key Responsibilities
Provide production concepts, manufacturing feasibility, tooling quotes, production equipment quotes, automation quotes, and manufacturing costs for LSR two component (2K) new project requests; implement and document standards for this quote process and train other engineers to support the growth of these programs.Manage liquid silicone two component (LSR 2K) projects once awarded; build timeline, assign tasks, approve tool design and tool manufacturing, equipment selection and purchase, automation and process development, training and hand off to site to meet the customers' expectations.Ensure adherence to timeline, costs, and all required regulatory framework, documentation, and internal processes at various sites.Lead multi-disciplinary teams of material, product and process development, tool design, procurement, operations, and quality across different sites globally for on-time and in-full project delivery.Prepare all release documentation as well as procure project-specific manufacturing equipment and test facilities.Responsibilities
Troubleshoot existing molding processes by examining components for specific defects and addressing defects by recommending alternative mold designs or processes, mold repairs, automation additions, or changes to achieve manufacturing precision.Market monitoring of new developments in LSR processing technology through visits to trade shows, conferences, exhibitions, and regular supplier contacts; develop new processes and automation based on these new opportunities and present the technology to the management team.Promote co-engineering with the customers and support program managers accordingly.Support and promote digitalization in all processes and activities.Effective communication to all stakeholders and customers.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Further education in a related field preferred.Very good technical knowledge of the automotive industry.Minimum 3 years’ experience with either plastics or LSR production, mold design, or mold construction.Experience in developing automation integrated with molding equipment is a plus.Proven ability to work as part of a team.Travel up to 20% of the time.Language- German (would be a benefit)Be yourself at DatwylerWe are convinced that people make the difference.
