Senior Wastewater Project Manager

to join the Water Team located in our

Atlanta, GA

office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on management of exciting water and wastewater projects through all phases of delivery. The successful candidate will help develop and lead diverse and custom water and wastewater projects, build and maintain outstanding client relationships, participate in industry activities and events, and learn and mentor as part of a growing full services team.The position may include a variety of projects related to:

Water distribution, including pumping and storageSewer distribution, collection, and pumpingWater and wastewater treatment plantsImprovements and retrofitting of existing water infrastructure facilitiesThe responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Support of business development activitiesLead and support conceptual planning studiesSupport proposal development effortsScope, fee, and contract development servicesDisplay technical competency of water or wastewater engineering and civil engineeringDevelop and manage detailed project delivery assumption, scope of work, level of effort, and associated man-hour estimatesManage multiple projects concurrentlyBe responsible for time management and work product qualityKeep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projectsConduct written and oral project reporting for clients and Team Leader. Reporting will include project design status, upcoming milestones, project accounting, percent completes, progress reports, etc.Prepare and execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control PlansLead internal and external project workshopsBe an active learner responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as overall needs of the teamConstruction management, excluding construction observation, for local projectsPeriodic travel will be required on an as-needed basis for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.Professional and career development while attending industry conferences as a subject matter expert on behalf of Garver and the Water Business Line.Production of constructible documents including:

Complete detailed design calculations, drawings, and specificationsScheduling, management and coordination of support disciplines and subconsultantsFacilitate stakeholder engagement activitiesObtain permitting approval with regulatory agenciesManage quality assurance and risk managementFacilitate workshops with clientsTransition to construction phase (both alternative delivery and design-bid-build):

Contractor pre-qualification and bid evaluationParticipate in facilitated teaming activitiesTechnical review of submittals and RFIsConstruction phase engineering supportScheduling, management and coordination of support disciplines and subconsultantsProgress tracking and communicationsTransition to integration phase:

Manage owner training programEquipment, instrument, and device checkout and performance validationControl system and HMI integrationScheduling, management and coordination of support disciplines and subconsultantsContract closeoutRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program10+ years of water and wastewater technical project experience and 3+ years' experience in team leadershipRegistered as a Professional Engineer (PE)Previous experience having been in responsible charge of designs, including detailed plans and specifications, for water and wastewater collection, distribution, pumping, and/or treatment projectsStrong understanding of the multi-disciplined practices (i.e. process, surveying, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control) required for the implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure improvementsPreferred Skills:

Master's Degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program15+ years of water and wastewater technical project experience and 3+ years' experience in team leadershipRegistered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in GeorgiaSoftware proficiency in water industry hydraulic or process modelingGrow With Us:
