About the Role
Metrovest is seeking an experienced Corporate Director of Operations to support the president in managing the day-to-day operations of its luxury resorts, Gurney's Montauk & Seawater Spa and Sanctuary Camelback. The ideal candidate will have a background in luxury hospitality, with previous leadership roles such as Director of Rooms or Director of Food and Beverage. This position requires frequent travel between the properties to ensure consistency in service, operational excellence, and strategic execution.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the president and resort leadership teams to implement strategic plans that drive operational performance across both properties.
Conduct regular site visits to Gurney's Montauk and Sanctuary Camelback, providing hands-on support, guidance, and oversight to ensure high standards in all operational areas.
Utilize expertise in rooms and food and beverage operations to enhance service quality, guest experiences, and operational processes.
Oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, ensuring consistent luxury service delivery across all departments.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including financial metrics, guest satisfaction scores, and departmental productivity, and identify areas for improvement.
Lead initiatives for cost control, revenue generation, and profitability enhancement, working with department heads to optimize resources.
Facilitate best practice sharing between the properties to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with Metrovest's corporate goals.
Manage special projects, including renovations, upgrades, and major events, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
Support the financial planning process by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for both properties.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, with at least 5 years in senior operational roles (e.g., Director of Rooms, Director of Food and Beverage).
Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale resort operations, including rooms and food and beverage departments.
Ability to travel frequently and provide on-site support at Gurney's Montauk and Sanctuary Camelback.
Strong understanding of luxury service standards and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial reports.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in both coastal and desert resort destinations.
Familiarity with the Montauk and Scottsdale hospitality markets.
Pay range and compensation package
$150,000-$200,000.
Annual pay-for-performance incentive plan.
