In fulfillment of its motto, Lux et Spes (“Light and Hope”), the College cultivates in its students the competence to think, act, and lead with courage toward creating a more just and compassionate world.The Assistant Director of Donor Relations is a member of the College’s Advancement Division and assists with the College’s fundraising and donor relations program through signature events, as well as corporate, foundation, and donor engagement and stewardship of the College’s top philanthropic donors.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Donor Relations and Engagement Efforts:

Under the guidance of the Director, assist with the engagement and stewardship of corporate and foundation funders, including writing support with grant applications, proposals, letters of inquiry and grant reports.Under the guidance of the Director, assist with engagement of individual donors through impact and donor report writing.Oversee the Student Philanthropy Council and mentor students to support deeper and more meaningful interactions between our students and donors through video content, meetings, tours, etc. Engage in efforts to recruit and retain student philanthropy volunteers.Signature Events Efforts:

Plan and execute signature donor events including:Annual Benefactor & Student Scholarship Dinner.Annual President’s Reception in collaboration with the Vice President for Advancement and the Executive Assistant to the Vice President & Advancement Administrative Assistant.Annual Christmas Celebration in collaboration with the Vice President for Advancement and the Executive Assistant to the Vice President & Advancement Administrative Assistant.Plan additional high-end donor relations events related to dedications, top donor campaign events, lead scholarship benefactors, etc.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of related experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising field is required.
