Our client is seeking a highly organized Program Manager with experience in Managed Care. The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Program Manager will lead a large Managed Care program and work alongside a team of Project Managers. The Program Manager should have experience in managing Information Technology programs and projects.The position is 100% remote, with central-California work hours and 4x a year on-site meeting attendance required.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage large program and projects of high complexity and risk.Support and lead project managers in their duties, such as project oversight, strategic planning, decision making, and financial budget updates.Collaborate and support the efforts of the EPMO, including development and implementation of new program management tools and templates and assisting and educating department leads in program management activities.Prepare written documentation in support of planned projects.Develop and monitor budgets and work plans.Review and approve program/project Status Reports.Support development of senior governance meeting documents and presentations.Demonstrate proficiency in program management methodology and practices.Exhibit advanced skills in the use of program management productivity tools such as MS Project and Excel.Demonstrate advanced knowledge in creating detailed documentation, including program/project charters, work plans, and budgets.Demonstrate proficiency in creating executive-level presentations from detailed documentation for complex projects.Communicate effectively with program/project staff and stakeholders.Required Skills:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare IT, or related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.Ten years of Project Management experience plus at least two years of experience in IT program management with progressive responsibilities.Knowledge of core operation functions of a Managed Care organization and/or Medicare and/or Medicaid.PMP certification is preferred.Self-motivated with ability to exercise independent judgment.Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, to resolve problems, and to make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.Strong organization and time management skills with proven ability to manage and participate on several projects concurrently.Decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking, and listening skills.Excellent written and communication skills.
