JOB DESCRIPTION:
The
IT Senior Business Analyst (JD Edwards)
will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and supporting the JD Edwards ERP system at NTN Driveshaft, Inc. This position is responsible for ensuring that JD Edwards aligns with business needs and facilitates improvements across various departments, including finance, supply chain, and manufacturing. The Senior Business Analyst will lead ERP-related projects, manage partner relationships, and ensure system upgrades and customizations are completed effectively. The role will collaborate closely with JDE Analyst locally and across other NTN sites to provide comprehensive support for the company's enterprise systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ERP System Management:
Serve as the subject matter expert for JD Edwards, managing system configurations, upgrades, and integrations.
Provide functional and technical expertise in JD Edwards modules, ensuring optimal usage and alignment with business objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve JD Edwards application issues, working with both internal teams and external vendors as needed.
Business Analysis:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for JD Edwards system enhancements or changes.
Analyze business processes and workflows, identifying efficiency opportunities through JD Edwards and related applications.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT and development teams.
Project Management:
Lead and manage JD Edwards-related projects, including upgrades, customizations, and integrations.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to the governance framework set by the Director of IT.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and adoption of system enhancements.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using reporting systems (e.g., Business Intelligence).
Provide insights and analysis to business leaders to help inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Documentation & Training:
Oversee documentation for business processes, system configurations, and user manuals.
Provide training and support to end-users on JD Edwards functionalities and best practices.
Maintain requirements for SOX compliance.
Other Experience:
Knowledge of RF Smart system, CAM Module - Plant and Equipment Maintenance, or Quality Management are a plus.Requirements:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience considered with college-level coursework that includes 30 computer science credits and ten years of proven ERP related experience; OR fifteen years of ERP work experience in operations, programming and system analysis.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience working with JD Edwards (preferably JD Edwards EnterpriseOne).
Proven experience in business analysis, project management, and ERP system administration.
Strong understanding of business processes in areas such as finance, supply chain, and manufacturing.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne modules, including Finance, Manufacturing, and Capital Management.
Experience with JD Edwards system upgrades, customizations, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., BI tools).
Other Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Duties as performed in a manufacturing environment and standard office setting.
Work in manufacturing will require safety shoes and glasses.
Some work may be necessary outside of a regular schedule may be required.
Position may be required to carry a cellular phone to respond to issues outside of normal business hours.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Certification
Experience in automotive manufacturing or other manufacturing industries.
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools for reporting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.
Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds (e.g., IT equipment, office supplies).
Ability to move around office and manufacturing environments (may require safety equipment like shoes or glasses when in manufacturing areas).
Visual acuity to read detailed data on computer screens and printed documents.
Ability to travel between company sites or attend off-site meetings as needed.
