IDC Maintenance & Operation Service Manager
No.595The IDC Maintenance & Operation Service Manager (IDC M&O SERVICE Manager) is responsible for ensuring that the overall management of the Data Center portfolio. This involves oversight of the Mechanical & Electrical infrastructure, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency.Responsibilities:
Oversee operation support that includes the entire IT infrastructure within the Data Center in a 24x7 environment.Ensure resource availability & scheduling of onsite team for 24x7 coverage including critical situations across different sites.Customer support responsibilities which include customer relations, responding to customer inquiries, and coordinating with other organizations.Work with customers and other department managers to provide input to team vision and strategic roadmap for all Data Center related projects.Plan, implement, and conduct training programs for onboarding new engineers.Manage SLA reporting for all work orders and change requests in a complex data center environment to reduce risk and utilize safe times for repair and change.Coordinate with vendors and providers to resolve any incidents during emergency situations. This may require being physically dispatched on-site to investigate and resolve issues.Review incident reports, document periodic trend summaries, and provide updates and recommended actions to management.Follow compliance requirements and enforce Security Best Practices to all team members.Schedule and participate in daily and weekly review meetings.Administrative duties include scheduling employee shifts, planning for capacity changes, maintaining corporate databases, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of leading teams of individuals across multiple locations in 24x7 operations.Bachelor's degree in an engineering, electrical, or mechanical discipline or equivalent work experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Data Center experience.2+ years of managing a team of technical professionals.2+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation.Understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations such as: feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units.Fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin.
