About the Manager of Academic Systems and Compliance Role:This position will be a key member of KIPP Colorado’s Academic and Schools Leadership Team. Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, this position partners with the Chief Academic Officer, Academic and Schools Leadership Team (Managing Director of Academics, Managing Directors of Schools), and key Home Office Team and campus leadership to establish and refine systems for communication, progress monitoring, standard operating procedures, compliance, and accountability. The person in this position must be skilled at building systems at a network level and navigating relationships among schools, regional staff and DPS, communicating effectively and influentially, and managing projects.

We know that every student is different and we personalize learning based on a student's needs, skills, and interests.Role Responsibilities:Believe deeply in the mission, values, and Race, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (RIDE) commitments of KIPP Colorado Schools and that all children can and will learn.Assume personal responsibility for student achievement.Read, internalize, and adhere to the KIPP Colorado Policies and Procedures manual and guidelines.Provide an active presence, strategic supervision, and intentional monitoring to ensure student safety and engagement in rigorous learning.Take ownership for the development of your craft.Commit to being prepared for lessons, coaching, meetings, etc.Meet professional obligations including meeting deadlines and honoring schedules.Consistently leverage existing professional tools, including Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.Maintain strong attendance each day and be on time to all responsibilities.Collaborate with colleagues and seek feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement.Reflect on professional practices to meet individual professional development goals.Actively participate in professional development, grade level, and department meetings.Actively engage and implement in all school-wide and Org wide professional development.Serve as a positive, contributing member of a grade team or functional team.Share candid, solutions-oriented feedback with peers and leadership.Assist with both student and staff recruitment and engagement.Know that your role may require you to travel around Denver to other KIPP Campuses, our Home Office, or other KIPP or PD events.Assist with other duties as assigned.Academic Systems and Coordination:Manage the design and implementation of complex projects, strategies, change leadership, and trainings.Create and maintain structures that support School Readiness planning and execution.Manage academic assessment tools and data systems.Liaise with DPS and external partners as needed.Track progress towards goals and make strategic decisions regarding collaboration and support.Lead on the annual curriculum procurement process.Design and refine tools and resources in real-time to respond to campus and student needs.Support communication tools to share progress or updates.Supporting the Academics and Schools Leadership Team and Office of the CAO:Serve as the key support for the Academics and Schools Leadership Team related to calendaring, scheduling, logistics, and communication management.Support and lead logistics coordination for Leader Development Weeks and Regional PD Days.Manage details for complex meetings and schedules.Create and distribute draft agendas and execute follow-up for meetings.Manage projects, action item tracking, and key initiative progress monitoring.Manage cascading communication process for the CAO and Academics and School Leadership team.Track deadlines and update organizational systems.Maintaining Systems for Office of CAO:Maintain a thorough working knowledge of KIPP Colorado.Receive, sort, and distribute key information.Oversee knowledge management, including Google Drive and Microsoft Suite organizations.Assist with clerical tasks as requested.Keep the CAO well-informed of activities and potential problems.Maintain confidentiality.Conduct oneself in a professional and appropriate manner.Assessment and Compliance Leadership:Work with the HR Team to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal academic programming requirements.Serve as a liaison between KIPP Colorado and Denver Public Schools.Serve as a project manager on the Unified Improvement Plan process.Serve as a project manager on the Black Excellence Plan process.Serve as a liaison and subject matter expert between KIPP Colorado teams.Role Level Specifics, Scope of Work, and Level of Responsibility:For more about how you’ll lead at this level, please visit the
