Floors Etc, Timonium, MD, Starting from $95,000.00 per yearSummaryThe Sr. Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all activities of a project to ensure costs, schedule, document control, and quality standards are met. The Sr. Project Manager oversees the organization, scheduling, and completion of flooring projects following Company standards and best practices. The Sr. Project Manager has responsibility for monitoring, influencing, and achieving positive financial results on each project. They are also responsible for ensuring their team has provided the Field managers and subcontractors all the tools and resources needed to ensure projects are completed correctly, on time, on budget, and follow quality standards.Essential functions
Provide leadership to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.Collaborate with the field managers aligned to their jobs, set clear expectations, and ensure they have the information necessary in ProCore to manage the job effectively.Effectively communicate with PMs and their teams to plan, organize, and direct all activities related to assigned flooring contracts (includes reviewing drawings, scope of work, estimate, and specs to become completely familiar with the project), identify lead times and critical items.Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of the project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.Ensure creation of full labor SOV and work with Director of Project and Field Operations on labor targets prior to negotiating with Sub-Contractor.Ensure effective 'kick-off' meetings with the internal team to discuss the job in detail with documentation per SOP (after mock-up stage when ready to assign labor).Ensure that Pre-Con Meetings take place 2-3 weeks prior to the job. These meetings must include field Operations.Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects.Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, and project costs achieving goals set for projects.Proactively identify changes in project scope and/or revenue and ensure appropriate measures are taken. Manage pricing of changes to GC.Track and control project schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and budget.Review project status with the team on a regular basis.Update Director regularly on the status of all jobs in full production and take an active approach in working with Operations to resolve and address issues.Be responsible for overall material management of the job.Plan, implement, track, and close out projects including any final negotiations with GC.
