Manager, Project Management 2
based out of
San Diego, CA .
The individual will be responsible for operating in a team environment with the operating unit leadership, program managers, customers, and peer organizations to lead our manufacturing teams to improve operational efficiency, implement optimal solutions, and define and implement the OU end-to-end manufacturing, integration & test strategies.
The candidate must be knowledgeable of the OU business acquisition process, program life cycle, manufacturing capabilities, scheduling techniques, continuous improvement strategies, manufacturing readiness assessments, compliance requirements, and financial practices to execute cost and schedule objectives and implement strategic initiatives.
Successful candidates for this position will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and effective problem-solving capabilities. This position will be responsible for recruiting and mentoring future leaders, directing training and skill development initiatives, and promoting engagement and inclusion activities.
What you will get to do:
Primary Manufacturing Operations interface to the Program Office, OU business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Mission Assurance on all aspects of manufacturing programs.
Leadership/Engagement in proposal capture efforts, production planning, and execution of multiple programs while monitoring and addressing all cost, schedule, performance, and quality issues.
Lead multifunctional teams, including Operations functional support organizations, to ensure all program and manufacturing goals and objectives are met.
Acts as the key point of contact for senior leadership on contract and program-related matters.
Provides oversight and accountability for all OPM-related activities in their area to ensure compliance with company objectives and obligations.
Responsible for employee development, performance management, and employee engagement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Program Product Line Alignment/Operations management or equivalent.
Experience with ERP/MRP.
Demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
US Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in STEM-related discipline or MBA.
Demonstrated experience leading operations team through a comprehensive estimate at complete.
Ability to apply systems methodology and lean applications to problem solving.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, IMS management, and/or Agile applications.
Product transition from development to production methodology and implementation knowledge & experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Work that crosses typical organizational, site, sector boundaries and that consolidates, transfers manufacturing operations.
Continuous improvement and problem-solving tools and techniques.
Salary Range:
$125,500 - $188,300
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
