Are you ready to lead and inspire a dedicated team? We're looking for an enthusiastic and strategic HR Director to join us at the City of Boise and help take HR to the next level as we optimize our functions and prepare to implement a new HRIS. This role oversees the HR department, serving over 2,000 diverse employees across 16 departments that serve our vibrant city.About the Role:
As the HR Director, you will direct and manage the Human Resources department, ensuring citywide employee engagement and advancing strategic talent management practices. You will oversee all HR functions, services, practices, and programs with the goal of attracting and retaining a workforce that is representative of our community.Essential Functions:Implements the organization's values, mission, and strategic goals as related to employee oversight and engagement.Directs and manages the human resources department.Provides leadership with strategic planning and works closely with the city’s elected leadership.Ensures that the department continually assesses the impact and success of human resources programs.Provides expert advice and guidance to all levels of management and employees on human resources matters.Requirements:Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training:Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, business administration, public administration or a related field.7 years of progressively responsible experience in the public or private sector human resource management.Advanced knowledge of human resource administration and risk management principles.Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training:Master’s degree in public administration, business management or a related field.Ten years of experience in human resource management.Licensing And Other Requirements:Applicants must be able to pass the City of Boise background check processes.Working Conditions:
