We build lasting partnerships and collaborate with our clients to envision possibilities and create tomorrow, together.We are committed to being a Best Place to Work, offering hybrid work environments that promote meaningful connections, support work-life balance, and encourage career development.About the RoleWe are seeking multiple Construction Observers/Inspectors at various levels to join our Tacoma Owner's Representative Office (TORO) team.The TORO team provides Owner's Representative, Project Management, Construction Management, and Alternative Project Delivery consulting services, primarily for public sector clients across Western Washington and the greater Puget Sound region.The TORO team has significant backlog with long-term projects under contract, offering long-term engagement with clients and opportunities for increased growth and responsibility.You Will:Provide construction inspection services across multiple projects in Western Washington and the Puget Sound region.Conduct detailed on-site assessments of construction work, including buildings, sitework, utilities, and off-site projects.Document on-site observations, including weather, workforce, equipment, work progress, safety issues, and discussions, with submission of reports to team members.Ensure compliance with contract documents, including plans, specifications, and quality assurance requirements.Collaborate directly with Contractors, A/E teams, and Owners to verify contract compliance and report on materials and equipment delivered to the site.Minimum Qualifications:Construction Observation/Inspection:High school graduate and 3+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or project management with experience reading and interpreting construction documents.Senior Construction Observation/Inspection:High school graduate and 5+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or project management with experience reading and interpreting construction documents.General Qualifications:Must be located in or willing to relocate to Tacoma, Bremerton, Seattle, Everett, or Vancouver, with the ability to commute to project sites.Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in different weather conditions, and safely navigate construction sites.Knowledge of construction safety protocols and familiarity with common tools like tablets and cameras.Professional licensure, PMP certification, experience with MS Project and Bluebeam, and flexibility with work hours preferred.For senior roles, previous experience working on projects for public sector clients is preferred.Compensation Information:Base salary for this position will depend on role, with Construction Observation/Inspection in the range of $50,000-$100,000 and Senior Level Observation/Inspection $75,000-$120,000.Why Join Parametrix?Employee Stock Ownership Plan (financial profit sharing)Performance-based bonuses401(k) PlanPaid Time Off (both vacation & sick/wellness time accruals)Paid HolidaysParental Bonding LeaveOur Commitment to YouIt is our policy and culture to provide equal opportunity to all persons based on ability and fitness to perform job duties regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.At Parametrix, we are dedicated to encouraging an inclusive and accessible workplace.
