www.amcor.com .Job DescriptionPosition Overview:Oversees Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs for Amcor Rigid Packaging North America (ARPNA). The Director, EHS is a key resource and provides functional direction and technical support to Operations Leadership, Plant Managers and EHS Managers regarding their respective environment, health and safety roles and responsibilities. Works in collaboration with and supports Plant Management teams in developing and implementing strategies to improve EHS performance, as well as compliance with Amcor standards and applicable regulatory requirements.Essential Responsibilities and Duties:Coordinate the implementation of EHS Strategies for ARPNA to enable manufacturing facilities to achieve EHS KPI goalsCollaborate with and support Operations management teams in developing and implementing strategies and programs to ensure compliance with Amcor EHS Standards, with emphasis on Critical Risk mitigation and ongoing compliance, as well as effective management systemsProvide guidance and support to the ARPNA Global Manufacturing Services Organization (GMSO)Represent ARPNA on Amcor's Global Safety Steering Committee (GSSC) and contribute to Company EHS standards development and implementationCollaborate with Amcor's Global EHS team to plan and execute annual EHS audit plan for the ARPNA organizationCoordinate and assist Operations EHS Managers with implementation of ARPNA programs and policies, as well as conformance with Amcor global EHS standardsAssist ARPNA organization in developing and implementing effective injury prevention plans, compliance plans, incident management support, worker's compensation program administration, site EHS assessments, EHS audits and property insurance support and recommendationsManage organization's EHS program development and deployment across ARPNA and provide plant level guidance and supportSupport continuous improvement in safety KPIs by analyzing safety statistics to identify trends and concerns, and work with respective cross-functional Engineering, and Operations Management Teams to implement SMART plans, best practices, and guidance in support of the sameParticipate in and provide support for internal EHS audits and related external audits, ensure proper corrective and preventive action plans, and support and validate on-time completion of key actionsOversee recordkeeping, reporting and incident investigation process and ensure conformance with established Amcor standards across ARPNACoach Operations Management, including plant Safety Managers, on EHS programs and initiatives, while supporting ARPNA executionCollaborate with plant teams to resolve EHS non-conformances and issues necessitating supportDevelop the ARPNA monthly safety report and other reports/presentations as neededSupport EHS resource selection, development, mentoring, and performance managementProvide direction and support for resolution regulatory agency inspections, as well as Workers Compensation claims management processQualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in safety management, safety engineering, or related fieldMinimum 10 years of progressive experience in environment, health, and safety in a manufacturing environment, with multi-site EH&S management experience preferredProven ability to work with external regulatory agenciesProficient in OSHA and ANSI standardsWorking knowledge in state workers compensation laws and practices, and insurance claims protocolsKnowledge of ergonomic analysis and program applicationKnowledge in behavior based safety principles and related trainingKnowledge in change management principlesStrong ability to communicate and interface with all levels of the organizationWorking knowledge/application of Microsoft OfficeProven track record in supporting EHS in a large multi-site organizationCSP, CIH or CSM certification a plusTravel up to 50%Competencies:Amcor Leadership Framework CompetenciesCore Competencies:Customer FocusLearning on the FlyInterpersonal SavvyDrive for Results3-5 Applicable ALF Competencies:Influencing OthersProcess ManagementManagerial CourageRelationships:Indirect/Direct reportsAmcor co-workersInternal and external customersPlant Management StaffPlant Co-workersSuppliers and vendorsAmcor Business Unit LeadershipGlobal Manufacturing Services OrganizationADA Requirements:Physical RequirementsNormal VisionDistant VisionNear VisionHearing/ ListeningSittingTalking/SpeakingWalkingStandingStoopingBendingKneelingClimbingDriving - Automobile/truck/vanWork Environment :
