The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a Program Director for Aquatics who can help us continue our life-changing, life-saving aquatics programs. We need an organized problem-solver and leader who cares deeply about water safety, staff management, programming, and customer service.Our ideal candidate can help develop and lead a team through inspiration, coaching, and clearly communicated expectations. He or she has a strong work ethic and healthy work-life balance. Our future Aquatics Program Director will be committed to all aspects of the position: working within the annual budget; helping to develop and supervise a strong Lifeguard and Swim Instructor Staff Team; and assisting with related branch programming including a competitive swim team league while providing excellent customer service to members and participants.Minimum Requirements:
Minimum age of 21Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalentOne to two years related experience preferredAbility to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the communityBilingual-English and Spanish preferredRequired certifications: CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard, AED, and O2Prior experience as Swim Lesson InstructorTypical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; Bloodborne PathogensRequired within 60 days: Lifeguard Instructor certification and Certified Pool Operator
