Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience. One year in the program area to which assigned may be preferred but is not required.A master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field may be substituted for one year of experience. A doctorate degree and the appropriate internship or clinical training in counseling or guidance may be substituted for the three years of experience for positions with a major responsibility for professional career or personal counseling.Key QualificationsAbility to provide tailored guidance and support for students navigating their career paths.Expertise in equipping students with job readiness skills, including resume writing, interview techniques, and networking strategies.Familiarity with industry trends, labor market insights, and policies that impact workforce development.Ability to work effectively with colleges, industries, and community partners to align programs with workforce needs.Strong leadership skills to design, implement, and assess impactful career development activities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with diverse audiences, including students, faculty, and industry professionals.Licenses/Certifications RequiredValid California Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire.Compensation and BenefitsStarting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed
$5,276
