Summary The ideal Head of Business Development & Sales has a solid understanding of digital media and is an enthusiastic and outgoing self-starter who is proactive in driving revenue and building a client base. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ideal candidate collaborates with team members and possesses the passion to drive change in digital. Ideally, this person is located in a major metropolitan area where they have direct access to the agencies and brands they are selling to.

Competencies
5+ years media or interactive sales experience.
Strong agency and direct brand relationships in major metropolitan area(s); LA, San Francisco, Chicago or New York.
Solid grasp of the latest in digital ad tech and knowledge of online ad networks, 1st party data, behavioral targeting and optimization strategies.
Ability to keep up with the fast-paced evolution of products and gain product efficiency across our broad set of offerings.
Superb organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Effectively develop new business and clear hurdles. Takes initiative and has enthusiasm for prospecting in order to qualify for meetings.
Must have excellent closing skills.
Must be highly motivated and a team player.
Responsibilities
Identify new business opportunities out of the advertising agencies and with brands directly.
Consult with clients to uncover marketing objectives and align our solutions to deliver against those goals.
Generate a high volume of sales related activity including cold calls, meetings, presentations, proposals, and more. Must consistently meet or exceed revenue quota assignment.
Responsible for driving new and growing existing revenue through long term contracts and contract negotiation.
Cultivate relationships with clients, gain deep insight into their business, and ultimately provide solutions to their marketing and advertising goals.
Manage agency trade desk relationships.
Expand Launch Media Network’s footprint across your national territory and within key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling the product portfolio.
Provide feedback to the company on how to best service clients' needs.
Provide ongoing reporting to management to ensure target metrics for success are being met.
Positive, problem-solving attitude.
Requirements
Experience with Salesforce CRM.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs & Sheets.
BA or BS degree, with demonstrable analytical skills.
Attention to detail is a must.
Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills across all teams to get things done efficiently and correctly.
