The assistant manager is a key holder and acts as manager-on-duty in the absence of other management presence. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of retail/rental operations and directing the day-to-day routine work of a larger group of associates. Responsible for maintaining business standards and has increased decision-making authority. Also, the Assistant Manager fulfills day-to-day work responsibilities for the organization as needed.Job Specifications:Expected Pay: $25 / hourShift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Weekends and HolidaysSkill Level: ExperiencedDay to day tasks will often include:Managing a team of up to 40 frontline staff and a leadership team of 10-12 employeesManaging through uncertainty and change positivelyProviding consistent and direct feedback, coaching, and guidance to team membersAttending Assistant Manager meetings and communicating information to staff and managersResponsible for monitoring rest and meal breaksBeing energetic, motivated, and possessing the ability to multi-taskDriving professional development in yourself as well as othersDesigning, executing, and tracking training plans for associates starting with their first dayEnsuring department and staff have all necessary suppliesCommunicating ideas or issues with Store and Regional ManagersManaging operational budgets and payrollRemaining current on new industry products and trends, and demonstrating knowledge of productsOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalMinimum 2 years leadership experience2 years in retail or rental experienceKnowledge and passion for talent developmentSelf-motivated with the ability to multi-taskMust be a team player and be able to handle a fast-paced stressful environmentCreating a rewarding environment in which to work, generating a team atmosphereIdentifying sales opportunities and creating plans accordinglyProtecting company assets through loss prevention techniques and managing inventory of rental and retail productPossessing the desire to offer the highest customer service standards to guestsFamiliarity with rental and retail POS system – preferred2 years resort and/or ski & snowboard experience - preferredThe expected pay range is $25.
