Experienced Dental Regional Director of Operations
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Regional Director of Operations (RDO), to lead multi-site operations within our network of very well established private dental practices. This position will require daily travel to multi-state practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Overseeing day-to-day operations of practices and their respective revenue.
Assessing practice-level performance over time, and developing and implementing action plans to capture opportunities and achieve business goals (e.g., budget).
Includes plans related to marketing, pricing, staff labor, operational workflows, and other areas of the business.
Building strong relationships with partner and associate dentists, identifying opportunities for doctor growth and retention, and supporting recruiting and hiring of new doctors to the region.
Collaborating with practice teams on development and implementation of tools, systems, processes, and training needed to enhance the ability of their office to serve their patients.
Coaching, mentorship, and training of key office personnel to build their leadership skills and enhance the performance of their teams.
Identifying and implementing strategic opportunities for growth, including expansion of facilities & services, and addition of new doctors.
The RDO will collaborate with multiple departments, including the C-suite, Finance, HR, Business Development, and others.
Requirements
Background in multi-site, multi-state dental operations: including full P&L responsibility.
Must live in or near New York City.
5+ years of operational management experience with demonstrated ability to drive business results.
Clinical and administrative experience in dental operations is required.
Able to travel ~80-100% of the time.
Leadership & relationship-driven: builds great relationships with local practices & leaders, delegates appropriately, and uses talents of the team in best combination.
Business acumen: leverages knowledge of business strategies & fundamentals (e.g., labor management, budgets, service offerings) to drive business outcomes.
Results-oriented: demonstrates strong business planning skills, communicates objectives clearly to their teams, defines meaningful performance measures, follows up regularly, and provides coaching and assistance toward meeting goals.
Communications: excellent communications up and down the chain, in verbal and written forms (including email and presentations); English, grammatical proficiency.
Driven: self-starter, excellent time management skills, able to manage priorities across a network of practices, and ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and Dental Software.
Candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to Louisville.
