What You'll Do
Primarily involved with tasks supporting the preparation of geotechnical reports, including the planning and coordination of field exploration programs as well as analysis and recommendations formulated in collaboration with senior staffAssist with geostructural design analysis and plan preparationAssist with deep foundation monitoring and testingAssist with preparation of proposals for both geotechnical and CMT projects for training and developmental purposesManage construction materials testing (CMT) projects with daily report review, assist with resolution of issues, and training of field staff on your projectsManage project budgets on both geotechnical and CMT projects and prepare invoicesOther duties may include assisting with or performing the following with supervision:
Perform boring and test pit layouts and evaluate site accessPrepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearancesPerform research on local geologic historySupervise field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and assist with rig access issuesPrepare AutoCAD drawings for engineering designsPerform/supervise in-situ testingMay perform/supervise specialized geotechnical field testingClassify soil/rock and assign laboratory testing
What We're Looking For
Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required0 - 4 years of experienceBasic knowledge of geotechnical and construction materials testing ASTM, AASTHO, and NCMA standardsLimited experience with gINT, LPile, GROUP, Rocsience Suite, MSEW, MathCAD and FAD Tools preferredLimited experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation preferredA professional license is not required in this position but is necessary to progress in your career.If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required.Who We Are
