ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.Provides financial analysis and expertise to support hospital business decision making as it relates to all services lines and ancillary programsProvides financial analysis related to payer contracts, process improvement initiatives, strategy & growth initiatives and government & business affair policy impactsParticipates in financial pro forma development for new programs and the expansion of existing programsPrepares monthly financial close report package and program scorecard dataResearches and identifies key volume and financial trends that impact the hospital's financial performanceDevelops and maintains automated financial reports and dashboardsAd-hoc financial surveys, report writing and analytics
1.Prepares month end analyses and tasks to support financial close and reporting2.Assists team members with ad-hoc requests and analyses3.Supports workforce planning, tools and systems associated with position management4.Conducts studies to analyze financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.5.Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.6.Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.7.Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.8.Evaluates profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.9.Preparation of reports, and analyses in areas such as capital budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.10.Works with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, and operating forecasts.11.Supports data requests from internal / external customers
