Geologist – Growth . This role offers the opportunity to be part of a well-resourced Geology department of over 40+ Geologists and a working roster of
8:6 . Be a part of our journey towards sustained excellence.What you can look forward to:Logistical planning and preparation for surface drilling activities including RC and diamond.Collecting high-quality data through detailed and accurate logging of RC chips and diamond core, as well as collecting samples for environmental, geotechnical, and metallurgical testing.Developing procedures and systems to ensure high-quality standards are employed for geological data capture and QA/QC.Training and mentoring field technicians and junior geologists, as well as supervising other field activities including clearing, surveying, geological surveys, and downhole surveys.Analysing data, completing geological interpretation, and building geological models, ensuring continued development of the company’s resources.To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:Expertise and Accomplishments:Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology with 1-2 years of practical experience and a good understanding of Archean greenstone geology and gold systems. Desirable skills include competency using Leapfrog, Datamine, Acquire, and Contractor Management (analytical assay and drilling). This, coupled with an understanding of forward planning and the ability to be versatile, is ideal.Attributes:Success in this role will belong to an individual who can demonstrate the ability to hold themselves and others accountable for their roles and responsibilities. They should be critical thinkers, agile, proactive go-getters with a 'can-do' attitude, and a positive outlook.
