DESCRIPTIONThe Moores Cancer Center (MCC) is one of just 57 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States and the only one in San Diego County. As a consortium cancer center, it is a collaborative partnership between the UCSD and various departments and institutions dedicated to fulfilling the Moores Cancer Center's mission of reducing cancer's burden.
Under general supervision of the Director for Training, Education and Research Collaborations at UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center (MCC), the Cancer Training and Education Program Manager is responsible for the administrative management, planning, coordination and operations of multiple cancer research training and education programs within MCC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
Thorough knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience in the areas of educational programs and courses, and fellow advising.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge of educational software and platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's or PhD degree in health sciences or healthcare.
Familiarity with education and training programs, and administration of NIH postgraduate training grant programs.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Employment is subject to a criminal background check.
Some weekend and evening work during scheduled meetings/conferences and other special events.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
