The project involves the development of a high-resolution ocean model for the study region (outside the San Francisco Bay) using the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS) and/or analysis of its output to understand the impact of local pollution on coastal ocean productivity, hypoxia, and acidification. The Postdoctoral Scientist will work under the supervision of Profs. Christopher Edwards (UCSC) and James McWilliams (UCLA) and will collaborate with scientists at the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project Authority (www.sccwrp.org) and the San Francisco Estuary Institute (www.sfei.org).
