Associate Dean for Research and ScholarshipThe Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship serves as the senior research administrator for the University of New Mexico College of Nursing. The Associate Dean will lead the expansion of the College’s research programs and infrastructure, facilitating and inspiring research and scholarship across the College of Nursing in grant writing, building and managing core research infrastructure, representing the College to internal and external constituencies interested in research, and positioning the college to capitalize on innovative funding opportunities. The Associate Dean serves on the Dean’s Executive Leadership Team and will reside in the Albuquerque, NM, area.Overarching responsibilities include:Strategic visioning for developing research initiativesFacilitating strong collaborations within all College of Nursing programs and across the University of New Mexico as well as external agencies as appropriateSecuring intra and extramural funding related to research and scholarshipSupervising tenured/tenure track facultyArticulating a compelling, inclusive vision for the future of research and scholarship in nursing scienceDemonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset to pursue diverse external funding sources in the expansion of the research mission, navigating among traditional and emerging funding sourcesEnsuring that all College of Nursing research and scholarship activities are compliant with College, University, federal, and state policies and proceduresThe University of New Mexico College of Nursing, located in Albuquerque, NM, ranks in the top 15% of nursing programs in the country. With over 1,000 enrolled students, the college offers pre- and post-licensure baccalaureate, master’s, post-master’s, and doctoral programs. Program offerings include the state’s premiere Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs; master’s and post-master’s programs across seven concentrations for APRNs, nurse educators, and nurse administrators; and the New Mexico Nurse Education Consortium baccalaureate curriculum.All applications must be submitted online.
