You will be a Software Engineer for the F-16/FA-50 System Integration and Test (SI&T) team. Our team conducts the avionics system level testing for all F-16 and FA-50 upgrades and new production aircraft. This includes integration testing and formal verification in a desktop environment, lab environment, and support of flight test.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Software Engineer you will be responsible for operating as the Product Owner or Scrum Master of the automated testing agile team. This team supports all F-16 and FA-50 configurations and leads the coordination and development of automated scripts and processes for the larger team. This role will require blended software engineering and systems engineering skills. Your responsibilities will include:Support the automated testing activities for F-16 and FA-50 avionics system level testDevelop and review automated testing scripts using our Lockheed Martin built script writing tool TWIN and/or PythonUpdate and build software tools, writing requirements for new tool developmentCoordinating with the automated test environment teamCoordinating with other SI&T agile teams and test leadsExecuting the automated testing pipeline, reviewing test results, and developing team processesThis will be across multiple avionics capabilities including but not limited to Communication, Navigation and Identification (CNI), Link-16 data link, radar, pods, stores/weapons, displays, and mission computer systems. Some shift work (2nd / 3rd) may be required to support program and lab schedules.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in STEM Discipline (Systems Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering preferred)Software development experienceDesired Skills:Physically able to access aircraft cockpit test fixtures and conduct lab testing for typical 6-hour test shifts.Must be willing and able to conform with flight line dress code and FOD requirements.Fighter aircraft avionics experience including but not limited to A-G weapons, UAI, A-A weapons, sensors/pods, communication systems, navigation systems, etc.Experience developing automation scriptsProficient with PythonProficient in VBA, C#, and/or SQLExperience operating in an agile environment including performing as a Product Owner or Scrum MasterProficient in data analysis, problem identification/isolation, and troubleshootingUnderstanding of the systems engineering processExperience with testing of avionics software and hardwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a collaborative and team-based environmentProficient with Microsoft OfficeSecurity Clearance Statement:
