Senior Platform RoR Engineer (with DevOps experience)
for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in India (Pune or Bangalore). Our client is a cloud platform for business spend management (BSM) that helps organizations manage their spending, procurement, invoicing, expenses, and supplier relationships. They provide a unified, cloud-based spend management platform that connects hundreds of organizations representing the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with millions of suppliers globally. The platform provides greater visibility into and control over how companies spend money. Small, medium, and large customers have used the platform to bring billions of dollars in cumulative spending under management.We are looking for a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer with DevOps experience. The main goal of the project is to support migration from ECS to EKS AWS services and fix bugs that arise in this case.Requirements
Minimum of
6+ years of experience in software development .Strong knowledge of DevOps.Extensive knowledge of Ruby.Experience in deployment based on
AWS
and
Kubernetes .Experience providing estimates and implementing complex systems.Proven understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.Experience working in an Agile environment that follows Scrum or other Agile methodologies.Demonstrated knowledge of scalability, high availability, and concurrency.A self-motivated go-getter with a passion for learning and strong communication skills.Experience in Git.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (equivalent) or equivalent experience.Nice to have
Knowledge of
Go
or Java.Experience with high-throughput message queueing systems (Resque/SQS, etc.).Responsibilities
Perform as a hands-on contributor is a key responsibility of this role.Develop and scale the platform systems and services.Contribute to a critical technology project to migrate a large Rails application or microservices into Kubernetes.Migrate applications and services to the new APM solution.Participate in code reviews and demos.Communicates well with others and is a good team player.We offer
