Pre-Construction Senior Project Manager

The Pre-Construction Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for fostering grid scale wind, solar, and storage projects through the pre-construction phase of project development. Successful execution of this position requires clear and consistent coordination of multiple project stakeholders including developers, contractors, vendors, owners, and financing partners. In this role you must have exceptional project management skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex problems.Every day in this role you will provide project management coordination and support for large and complex wind, solar, and storage projects during the pre-construction phase of the project.Manage request for proposal (RFP) process for Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) servicesManage commercial aspects of all project related contract negotiationsSupport pre-construction activity including site studies, surveys, preliminary engineering, and estimatingSupport internal project capital expenditure approval processes to secure budget for Project Delivery scopeCoordinate and support internal stakeholders including development, engineering, interconnection, and power marketing teams with Capex input requestsCoordinate and manage key project stakeholders including Balance of Plant (BOP) EPC contractorSupport major equipment (modules, wind turbines, batteries, and substation) procurement processesParticipate in the negotiation of key project contracts including Major Equipment Supply Agreements and BOP-EPC AgreementEnsure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to planContinually assess project risk and maintain project Risk Register during preconstruction phaseEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with all parties involved in the development and approval of the projectWhat You’ll BringA Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldFive (5) years of project management and procurement in utility scale renewable energy or heavy construction experience in renewable energy projectsProject Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred. However, we welcome candidates with equivalent experience or other relevant certificationsExperience with various project & construction management software tools, e.g., ProcoreDemonstrated ability to be organized and work on multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong Microsoft Software Applications skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)Ability to adapt in a demanding, fast-paced, dynamic environmentProven track record of managing projects with results that meet all stakeholder goalsAbility to problem solve and achieve results by setting priorities and staying organizedResults oriented leader with the ability to work independently within a large matrixed organization while effectively interfacing with the various cross-functional employee groupsCommitment to the advancement of renewable energy solutions across North AmericaThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policyThis role requires attendance at a worksite on an as needed basisMust be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the timeU.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, for the use of fleet cars, personal, and or hire cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetingsMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesMust be physically able to conduct site visits and attend project site meetings and walk renewable energy sites for extended periods of time in hot or cold weather conditions to complete job assignmentsCompensationSalary Range:
$96,100 – $147,660 USD annuallyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
