Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security and safety procedures and protocols.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operationsSetup layout and ensure efficient space utilizationInitiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and proceduresEnsure supervisors and employees adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping requirementsMaintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and securityManage stock control and reconcile with data storage systemLiaise with clients, suppliers and transport companiesPlan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise resultsAssure that a safe work environment is maintained, and employees follow safety proceduresConfer with supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activitiesKeep records of employees' attendance and hours workedRead and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputsMaintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production resultsDetermine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloadThe ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of successful hands on experience in warehouse operations in a lead or supervisory capacityMust pass background check and drug screening requirementsHands on experience with warehouse management software and databasesLeadership skills and ability manage staffStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsInventory management skillsAble to perform well under pressureAble to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to shifting prioritiesComputer and internet fluencyMust be able to have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the jobAbility to stand continuously for long periods of timeAble to lift-up to 75IbsEducationHigh School education or equivalentAssociates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferredWork EnvironmentThe performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.Is exposed to excessive noiseIs around moving machineryIs exposed to dustWearing of safety clothing and equipment may at times be required.Health, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceShort Term DisabilityPaid holidaysFloating holidayPaid time off401K
