This Bench position will provide management support to new and existing SSC accounts in K-12 or higher education settings. Travel is required and can be significant including overnights. Ideal candidates will be open to relocating to areas outside of Missouri.Join our dynamic team in the pivotal role of Unit Director, providing critical management support to both new and existing SSC accounts within K-12 or higher education settings. This position involves travel, including overnights, and is open to relocation.Responsibilities:As a Unit Director, you will be the cornerstone for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and security of assigned buildings. Your primary focus will be to coordinate the activities of janitorial personnel successfully. Beyond ensuring compliance with company guidelines, you will demonstrate your leadership prowess to lead, direct, and develop both supervisors and hourly employees. Your commitment to maintaining high-quality standards will contribute to customer satisfaction while fostering a safe and unbiased environment.Key Responsibilities:Facilitate seamless communication between shifts to ensure the completion of tasks.Train workers in janitorial methods, procedures, and the proper operation of equipment.Issue supplies and equipment to workers, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of services.Conduct daily inspections and follow through on all assignments to guarantee task completion.Cross-train and develop personnel for multiple positions, promoting a versatile workforce.Conduct weekly staff reports and inspections, encouraging a culture of accountability and excellence.Meet with staff regularly to review task completion and plan for future projects.Secure buildings after the completion of work, demonstrating attention to security measures.Guide project completion to ensure timely and within-budget outcomes.Report and address budgetary issues effectively.Preferred Qualifications:A preferred college degree or equivalent experience.One to two years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service-related field with high customer/client interaction.Demonstrated strong work ethic, drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.Excellent written and oral communication skills, facilitating effective team communication.Outstanding problem-solving abilities in both individual and group situations.Ability to engage and empower staff, encouraging a positive work environment.Understanding of budgeting processes and a keen awareness of profit and loss concepts.Excellent administrative and organizational skills with a focus on prioritization.Outstanding time management skills, ensuring efficiency in operations.Ability to operate and handle heavy cleaning equipment effectively.Embark on an exciting journey with us, where your leadership and operational expertise contribute to the success of our mission.
