The Art Academy of Cincinnati is currently seeking an Associate Director of Admissions to support the college’s mission and vision in addition to implementing the admissions process including, short-term and long-term execution of all recruiting efforts.Essential duties include:Recruiting OutreachBook travel for the admissions counselors, both high school visits and fairs, and NPDs that fulfill all AAC strategic recruitment effortsTravel in the Cincinnati region for: College Fairs, High Schools, Recruiting EventsTravel to National Portfolio Days, College Fairs, High Schools, Recruiting EventsContact prospective leads / applicant students that applied via Common App or direct eventSpeak to large groups / classroomsManage outreach and communication with inquiries and applicants, including Leave of Absence, International, and Tuition Exchange students to maintain connection with the school and implement the Admissions and Return Plan Readmission processes.Manage outreach and communication with Future BFA students to maintain connection with the school, the FBFA program, and through the AAC inquiry to admissions funnel.Manage and coordinate events such as Open House, National Portfolio Day, Scholastics and other eventsWork in collaboration with the Director of Enrollment to implement admissions list-serve outreach and marketing, such as Skunkmail and admissions timeline communications etc.Mentorship of the Art Academy’s Office of Admissions Counselor staffProviding customer service, efficiency, and educational insight to the recruitment / travel and admissions processesProvide weekly communication that recaps yours and their feedback from the travel season and admissions funnel progressWork in collaboration with Financial Aid to ensure each incoming student has completed the FAFSA processProvide training for counselors to ensure accuracy representing the college and its programs, and the admissions processDevelop professional relationships with art educatorsBuild Teacher partnerships and professional development opportunitiesCollaborate with the Director of Enrollment in the execution of execution of our partnership with Greater Cincinnati schoolsCollaborate with the Director of Enrollment and the Director of Office of Engagement on the management and execution of the Scholastics programEnsure that all policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with the Academic Catalog and NACAC’s Code of EthicsCollaboration with the management of events such as open house, National Portfolio Day, and the Welcome DinnerWork in collaboration with Student Services to connect the Ambassador program with the Admissions teamProvide mentorship and training to Ambassadors on events and tours, and provide mentorship to Ambassadors working within the Admissions departmentCollaborate with the Director of Enrollment in the execution of our Shadow ProgramAdditional duties that drive our Vision and fulfill our Mission as assigned and required by the Director of EnrollmentEducation and Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree preferably in art, design, creative writing, or similar fieldMinimum of five years Higher Education experienceMinimum of three years of managerial experience (Preferred)Strong time management and attention to detailWillingness to collaborateEffective communication skillsUnderstanding of state and federal laws as it relates to recruitingThe benefits of this position are:Exempt, salary position (if salary is over the DOL Overtime threshold)Full package of health benefits and insurance (review with HR)Immediate options to contribute to a 403b retirement plan with company matchPaid vacation, holidays, sick days (per AAC Employee Handbook)All the policies and procedures of the Art Academy can be reviewed in the Employee Handbook available on the Art Academy of Cincinnati’s website or by seeing your Human Resources Manager.Any changes to the AAC Employee Handbook override the terms of this letter.
