Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting professionals and community members as they navigate complex challenges?Common Wealth is seeking a Director of Operations to join the Leadership team in support of our 35 staff, hundreds of residents in our housing portfolio, dozens of small businesses in our incubator community, and hundreds of youth and adults in our workforce development programs This position involves supervising the general operations of the organization, guidance and mentorship of our team of Program Leads, and overall support of every programmatic aspect of the organization. Compensation starts at $100K per year. Common Wealth Development offers a $2000.00 language bonus (annually) for employees who are Bilingual in English and Spanish.Requirements
:At least 5 years of contiguous supervisory experienceDemonstrable experience and knowledge of conflict resolution,
mediation, crisis management and de-escalation skillsDemonstrable experience in organizational financeExcellent organization skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks to
meet deadlines, and multitaskAbility to work effectively both independently with minimal
supervision and as a member of a teamDevelop and maintain positive relationships with residents,
communities, and community partnersStrong writing skills and oral communication for providing quality
customer serviceProficient with Microsoft Office softwareExperience working with people from low-income and racially
diverse communitiesHave own vehicle, clean driving record and liability insuranceDesired Qualifications:
At least 10 years supervisory experience, with 5 years experience
leading or supervising groups/teams of supervisors or leading people who
serve in a supervisory capacityLived experience with low-income housing, housing insecurity or
racially diverse communitiesExperience with WHEDA Tax Credit Compliance and HOME Program
RegulationsAdvanced knowledge of Racial Justice practices and principles,
ideally in an organizational / HR contextKnowledge of fair housing practicesKnowledge of best practices in workforce development strategies
for adults and youthKnowledge and advanced understanding of leadership styles,
practices and evaluation methodsContextual familiarity of the community, political and social
climate of Madison and Dane County.Bilingual,
