Multifamily New Construction Project Manager - Podium-Multistory
PRECISION GCC is a best-in-class multifamily construction management company with 33 years of experience in our niche. We are seeking a Construction Project Manager with previous experience managing the construction process for a new multifamily build. This project will encompass 2 - 5 story buildings - both single level podium (Type 1-A) and 4 wood framed floors above. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all the site construction activities and City Inspections for the project with an emphasis on fiduciary activities. PRECISION GCC has a growth trajectory in the South Bay Region and anticipates many more projects of similar scope over the next decade.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 3+ years hands-on multi-story multifamily/commercial Project Manager experience.
Proficient in reading and understanding construction documents (architectural, structural, mechanical, specifications, etc).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage tenant relationships.
Working knowledge of MS Project and electronic scheduling required.
Previous experience working on podium multistory construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a project-oriented construction management team comprised of project engineers and construction administrative accountants on concurrent multifamily residential construction projects.
Coordinate with all key stakeholders, including authorities having jurisdiction, utility companies, and city and county entities to facilitate streamlined construction from start to completion.
Facilitate daily/weekly status meetings to refine workflow processes to meet the need for speed and quality.
Demonstrate stewardship in executing construction deliveries on budget and on schedule based on a for-profit affordable housing mission.
Take ownership of hard cost budget and schedule, recommending proactive measures to stay ahead of issues.
Create and share comprehensive schedule and budget control tools to monitor expenditure and ensure completion of all critical paths within the specified project timeline.
Provide weekly and monthly written updates on key metrics to critical paths and milestone activities.
Develop innovative strategies to reduce expenses, track budgetary expenditures, and minimize construction timelines.
Provide guidance, leadership, and mentoring to Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, addressing complex project issues during the construction process.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or related field is a plus but not necessary.
Minimum 3+ years' construction project management experience in the multifamily building environment.
Experience Project Managing a new construction multifamily build.
